BEFORE YOUR VISIT

Well prepared.
Up and running sooner.

You can book your appointment now. Please complete these steps before you drop off your device.

  1. 1. Make a backup

Back up your iPhone or iPad to iCloud or to a Mac or PC. Check that the backup is up to date and that your iCloud data has fully synced. Data can be lost during a repair.

How to back up your data (Apple Support, new tab)
  2. 2. Get Find My ready

iOS / iPadOS 26 or earlier: Settings → your name → Find My → turn off Find My iPhone or Find My iPad.

From version 27: In Find My, choose your device → More → “Repair or Trade-in” → turn on.

  3. 3. Protect your personal data

Remove cards and passes from Wallet. Never share your Apple Account password, device passcode or security codes. If something needs to be entered, you enter it yourself and stay with your device.

  4. 4. What to bring

Bring your device, any affected accessories, ID and, if possible, proof of purchase. Check Parts and Service History under Settings → General → About and complete any unfinished repairs first.

Your device won’t respond? Do what you can. If needed, you can get Find My ready at icloud.com/find (new tab). Talk to us if you run into any difficulties.

Bringing a Mac?

Make a current backup, for example with Time Machine. Up to macOS 26, turn off Find My Mac; from macOS 27, turn on repair mode. On Macs with Apple silicon, check for unfinished repairs in Repair Assistant; on Intel-based Macs, turn off any firmware password. Have your login details ready to enter yourself. Bring your power adapter, any affected accessories and, if possible, proof of purchase and ID.
