Accessibility statement

Contents of this page
We want everyone to be able to use our online services easily. With this statement, we provide the information required under Section 14(1) no. 2 of and Annex 3 to the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG): we describe our services, how we implement the accessibility requirements and where limitations still exist.
1. Scope
This statement applies to our website and our online shop at www.compumac.de, including product pages, configurator, shopping cart, the customer account “Mein CompuMac” (My CompuMac), online appointment booking, contact form and withdrawal function. The checkout, i.e. entering your address, shipping and payment details, is provided by our shop provider Shopify.
2. Our services at a glance
In our online shop, you can view, compare and buy Apple products, accessories and software product keys. This is how a purchase works:
- You choose a product and – for configurable devices – the desired specification. The price and delivery time are shown directly with the product.
- You add the product to the shopping cart and go to the checkout. There you enter your contact details and your address and choose shipping or collection as well as a payment method.
- Before submitting, you see an overview of all costs. By clicking “Zahlungspflichtig bestellen” (order with obligation to pay), you complete the order.
- You then receive an acknowledgement of receipt by e-mail. If we accept your order, we send you an order acceptance (order confirmation) and later information about shipping or collection.
You can also book an appointment online, for example for handing in a device for repair – also at our partner drop-off points – or for remote support, register for a training course, submit a leasing request, upload proof of eligibility for Education prices, sign a device release, order a laser engraving for a device, reserve a device from a private sale, check the status of a repair order, write to us via the contact form and withdraw from a contract concluded online using the “Withdraw from contract” function. You sign in to your customer account with a code that we send you by e-mail, or with your Google account; you do not need a separate password with us.
3. How we make our services accessible
Our benchmark is the requirements of the Ordinance on the Accessibility Strengthening Act. Our goal is conformance level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and compliance with the harmonised standard EN 301 549. This includes in particular:
- a clear page structure with headings, landmarks and a defined page language,
- a “Skip to content” link at the top of the page,
- operation by keyboard and a clearly visible focus,
- text alternatives for images that contain information,
- sufficient colour contrast and text that can be enlarged without loss of information,
- forms with labels, input hints and understandable error messages,
- status messages that are also announced by screen readers, for example for the shopping cart,
- respecting the “Reduce Motion” system setting for animations.
4. Compliance status and known limitations
Our online services are partially compliant with the requirements. We are aware of the following limitations:
- Appointment booking: Our online appointment booking is new. Its accessibility review has not yet been completed. You can also make appointments by phone or e-mail at any time.
- JavaScript: Appointment booking and the withdrawal function require JavaScript. Without JavaScript, you can make appointments by phone or e-mail and declare a withdrawal by e-mail.
- Spam protection in forms: Contact, order and registration forms use automatic spam protection which, in rare cases, requires an additional check that is not accessible to everyone. Alternatively, you can reach us by e-mail or phone.
- Product images: The text alternatives of many product images are generated automatically from the product data and are sometimes not very meaningful.
- Configurator: For devices with many configuration options, making a selection with a screen reader can be cumbersome.
- Online device release: You draw your signature with your finger or mouse. If this is not possible for you, you can sign the release in our shop.
- New functions: Ordering a laser engraving, reserving private-sale devices and our service portal for repair orders are new; their accessibility review has not yet been completed. The service portal is currently only available in German. We can also handle these requests by phone, by e-mail or in our shop at any time.
- Checkout: The checkout is provided by Shopify; we have only limited influence on its design.
- Documents: Older PDF documents may not be accessible. On request, we will send you the content in another format.
We are continuously working on these points and will fix them step by step. We review our services regularly, especially when we introduce new functions.

In the event of disputes about accessibility, you can also apply for a free arbitration procedure at the arbitration body under the German Disability Equality Act (Section 34 BFSG):

9. Preparation of this statement
We prepared this statement in September 2026 on the basis of a self-assessment and last updated it in October 2026. A full review of all processes with keyboard, screen reader, magnification and on mobile devices has not yet been completed; the limitations listed in Section 4 are based on our self-assessment. We review them continuously and update them when we fix limitations or make significant changes to our online services.
